Contact and scope
This policy covers Talkverse Community at talkversecommunity.com. Contact the forum management at admin@talkversecommunity.com for privacy requests.
Information and purposes
We process usernames, email addresses, password hashes and verification records to provide and secure accounts. Topics, replies, biographies, website/social links and avatars support community participation and may be public and indexed by search engines. Likes, bookmarks, follows, blocks and notifications support their respective account features. Private messages are stored for delivery; they are not end-to-end encrypted and authorised technical personnel may access records when needed for support or security. IP addresses, timestamps and technical access/error logs may be processed to operate the service and prevent abuse. Rate limits may use hashes derived from IP addresses. Remove location/EXIF metadata before uploading an avatar: depending on server image-processing support, metadata may remain in public images.
Cookies and local storage
talkverse_session is a session cookie for login, session security and form verification. tv_language remembers your language for approximately one year. tv-theme stores your theme preference in browser local storage until cleared. You can manage browser storage in your browser settings; blocking session cookies may prevent login or other features. When advertising and consent storage are enabled, the CMP message provides provider, purpose and preference information.
Google AdSense and consent
When AdSense is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. Advertising services may process IP addresses, browser/device information, cookie identifiers and ad interactions.
Where required, Google's European regulations message provides consent choices for personalised advertising and non-essential storage. You can consent, decline or manage options and inspect the provider and purpose list in the published message. Use “Privacy preferences” in the footer to change your choice later. Continued use of the forum alone is not advertising consent. You can also manage Google personalised ads at My Ad Center and participating providers at AboutAds. Opting out does not remove all ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Providers and international processing
Hosting and email providers process information necessary to operate the forum and deliver verification messages. If enabled, Google reCAPTCHA receives verification tokens and IP addresses for bot protection; ProxyCheck receives IP addresses for country/proxy checks. See Google reCAPTCHA's policy and ProxyCheck's policy. International providers, including Google, may process information outside your country; applicable transfer requirements and safeguards must be observed. Information may be disclosed to competent authorities when required by valid legal requests or to protect rights. Public content may be copied by others.
Legal bases, retention and rights
Depending on applicable law, processing may rely on performance of the account/service contract, legitimate interests in security balanced against your rights, legal obligations, or consent for activities requiring it. Basic forum access is not conditional on advertising consent. Account/content information is retained as needed for the service; security logs are retained according to security and dispute-related needs. Deletion requests are assessed against applicable retention duties and others' rights. Backups and search-engine copies may not disappear immediately. Contact us for information on retention of particular records.
Subject to applicable law you may request information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, withdraw consent and complain to the competent data-protection authority. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing. Send requests to admin@talkversecommunity.com. Reasonable identity verification may be needed; never send your password. This policy will be updated when practices change, with appropriate notice and fresh consent where required.
When Google reCAPTCHA is enabled, device/browser information and interaction data may be processed to assess spam and abuse risk; the _GRECAPTCHA cookie may be used. Google’s Terms of Service also apply.
